Academic Awards
Arjat Dutt Srivastava was awarded a certificate by the Children's Education Trust for his excellent performance in All India Talent Search Exam held in year 1999.

The Regional Mathematics Olympiad Certificate of Excellence were awarded to :

Mohneet Gujral

Arjun Raj

Also 55 students were awarded scholarships by Delhi Sanskrit Academy, Jhandelwalan, New Delhi.

Declamation
The team of Anthara Mathai and Ananda Kapur of class XII participated in the Govardhan Das Declamation Contest, organised by Springdales School, Pusa Road, in April, 2000. The school won the Anil Das Runners-up Trophy.

In the AFWWA Declamation Contest 2000, Anandana Kapur was declared the Best Speaker and was awarded the Running Trophy by the President of AFWWA.

Sports
The school has an alumni of prominant sports persons at National and International levels, including:
Maninder Singh (Test cricket player)
Nikhil Chopra (Test cricket player)
Gurusharan Singh (Punjab State won the Ranji Trophy Championship under his Captaincy). He also played against England test cricket team touring India.

A number of other cricket players have also played Ranji/County Cricket.

AFBBS participated in mid-zone cricket Super Sixes Tournament and out of 38 teams the school was awarded the runners-up trophy.

Badminton
Vikram Bisht had been a Junior National Champion for three years in succession while he was in AFBBS. He later played for the country also.

Skiing
Neha Ahuja represented India in the IV Asian Winter Games Championship held in Kangwon. She timed as quickest from among the Indian Skiers. Neha also attended the the advanced Ski racing training in Italy.

Sailing
AFBBS is one of the few schools in Delhi to introduce sailing as part of its activities and in 1971, the school and became the state champion. The school also participated at national and international levels (Yugoslavia, Italy and Holland).
