Air
Force Bal Bharati School
(AFBBS), established in July 1955, is situated in central Delhi. The
school is run by the Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society, as
a recognised unaided private school. The school follows the rules and
regulations prescribed in Delhi School Education Act and Rules, 1973.
The school was declared the Best School of Delhi in 1995.
AFBBS
is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and
follows the 10+2 scheme of education. The medium of instruction is
English. Hindi is a compulsory language from Nursery to X and a third
language is introduced from Class VI onwards.
History
Air Force Bal Bharati
School made a humble beginning as a Primary school with 116 students and 6
staff members. By 1974, AFBBS became a full fledged senior school offering
educational facilities to over 3,300 students.
Aims
AFBBS aims at excellence
in education, for which, the latest techniques and methodologies of
teaching are followed. The school makes special efforts to inculcate a
sprit of unity, discipline, obedience to laws, performance of one's duty,
hard work, team sprit and a respect for a secular, democratic, egalitarian
society.
Philosophy
It is the school's objective to make students aware of Indian culture and
heritage. The school's educational system is designed for successful
learning and growth. This enables students to find their personal
identities and gain valuable self confidence. They are also taught the virtues of sharing and making sacrifices, and
are motivated to take pride in the dignity of labour.
